Case Managers

 

Bamby Salcedo is the Project Coordinator for the Harm Reduction Project with Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Ms Salcedo has been working with our Division for the past two years, formally she was working as a Program Manager for the Transgeneros Unidas Program with Bienestar Human Services. She has been in the field of HIV prevention and education for the past ten years specifically creating programs that address some of the broader needs of the transgender population. Ms Salcedo is a very proud transgender woman who has  extensive experience providing transgender sensitivity trainings as well as community mobilization and organizing.

 

 

 

Christina Quiñonez is a proud graduate of the Harm Reduction Project with Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and a model for the Angels of Change 2009 Calendar. Christina has been working in the HIV prevention field for about 10 years, starting out as a volunteer at the L.A Gay & Lesbian center packing safer sex kit condoms and providing community outreach. In 2002 Christina started working for CHLA at Los Angeles High School as a receptionist for the School Based Health Program. Christina has also had experience conducting research interviews with female sex workers and transgender individuals for a study done by the Los Angeles County Epidemiology Program under the HITS Project. On December 2004 Christina became certified HIV counselor for the same department under Brothers y Hermanos Project. After these projects ended Christina started working with a non-profit agency where she engaged transgender clients of all ages and backgrounds, assisting them with a number of personal issues as well as providing referrals to social support services.
